Founded in 1922
Founded in 1922 in Atlanta, Georgia, on the principles that undergirded its fight for civil rights and against discrimination, bigotry, and hatred felt at the hands of the Ku Klux Klan, AHEPA is the largest and oldest grassroots association of American citizens of Greek heritage and Philhellenes with more than 400 chapters across the
United States, Canada, and Europe.
Our Mission
To promote the ancient Hellenic
ideals of education, philanthropy,
civic responsibility, family and individual excellence through community service and volunteerism.
EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS
Educational Foundation
The American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association (AHEPA) is the largest and oldest American-based Greek heritage grassroots membership organization. Its scope is international and its mission is to promote Hellenism, Education, Philanthropy, Civic Responsibility, and Family & Individual Excellence. The AHEPA District #10 Educational Foundation (EF) endeavors to advance AHEPA’s educational mission by giving financial support to successful Greek-American students to help them achieve their scholarly pursuits. We recognize students who excel academically and are leaders in our District #10 community. The EF offers financial support to qualified students pursuing academic disciplines at an accredited college or university. The EF gives both merit based and needs based scholarships.
